A Well-Overdue October Favourites

So the tail end of September and October have been pretty busy and full months for me. They pretty much consisted of starting my second year at university and trying to get back into the way of a routine again and writing A LOT of essays (cry face).

I thought my first post back should be an overdue favourites so I'll just get right into it!

I have two beauty favourites this month, and the first is the ELF Baked Eyeshadow Palette in 'California'. I feel like this palette is perfect for the autumnal/wintery transitional period with some gorgeous golds, peachy pinks and shimmers as well as some deep purple and grey shadows. There are also some amazing highlight shades in there which I use in the inner corner of my eye and perfect to pop on the brow bone. My second beauty favourite is the Rimmel Exaggerate LipLiner in 'Eastend Snob'. Yup I know everyone has this and raves on about it, but I am definitely jumping on the bandwagon with this one. It really is the perfect pink shade in my opinion. Not too light and frosty, but not too dark either. I don't know what it is with this one but Rimmel hit the nail on the head.

I also have a nail polish favourite which is the colour 'Pick Me Up' by SEVENTEEN and I have not stopped painting this on!! We might have a serious issue here! I've honestly been putting this one, taking it off and then putting it freshly straight back on again, and I don't see this craze stopping anytime soon for me. Although I have just ordered a nail polish that's due to arrive tomorrow, so let's see if it ends up being a game changer...

I have little bit of a random favourite as well for you this month in the way of a tv show. It seemed like all of the tv shows I watched were either finishing for good, or for their mid season break and I felt like I needed something to get me out of the drought. So, I went on Netflix as you do, and came across 'Reign' in the suggestions for you section. Well, I can say that I am HOOKED. The show is about the early life of Mary Queen of Scots and her time in France where she was in the company of the likes of Catherine de Medici, King Henry II of France and Nostradamus. The storyline is incredibly compelling from the get-go, and there is a perfect amount of humor to the show as well. The writing and acting really is fabulous though, so go ahead and give it a watch. I'm sure you'll end up addicted, a bit like me!

My music favourite of the month is actually two songs. The first is by Olly Murs and is called 'Kiss Me'. There's a definite 80s vibe with this one which I absolutely ADORE, my mum always says I was born too late haha! It's just one of those feel good songs that instantly lightens your mood as soon as it starts up. My second favourite song is by Ariana Grande and is called 'Focus'. Now this one just came out on the 30th of October but I have not stopped playing it (or trying, and failing, to learn the dance she does in the music video in my shower). It's very sassy and a real 'take that' song. Also, Jamie Foxx provides faaaabulous vocals on the chorus. Now, don't tell me you aren't tempted to give it a listen..
