Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer: The Review

Okay so I'm not going to lie. I bought this concealer on a last minute whim because I'd just ran out of my current concealer and really needed a new one because I really wouldn't want to be concealer free even for a day!

So, I was dashing around Boots trying to find something that I thought was in my budget, but would be a really good product.

I found myself at the Rimmel section and found this Wake Me Up concealer. It looked like the best one in that section to me and it was definitely in my price range.

The very next day, I tried out the concealer and I was pleasantly surprised! I didn't really have any expectations from this product so when it turned out to be really good quality- I was over the moon!

The applicator distributes the product with a gliding ease and the consistency is very creamy and soft. It almost feels like you're applying a moisturising eye cream, no joke, and gives a glowy/dewy finish.

The coverage is also fabulous! I thought, because it was creamy, that it might lack in the coverage department but nope! The coverage is very good, completely covers dark circles and doesn't crease or settle into lines.

This product really is a must-try for me and I can safetly say I will be repurchasing!

DIY Lash Extensions

I learned this trick a while back now and decided that more people should know about it so I wanted to write a post.

So I'm just going to jump right into this and tell you what you need to get DIY lash extensions on a budget.

First of all, you'll need cotton buds, baby powder and of course some mascara.

Start off with a layer of mascara on your lashes.

Pour some baby powder onto a bit of paper or kitchen roll, then take a cotton bud and roll it in the powder.

Next, you are simple going to brush the cotton bud onto your eyelashes exactly how you would apply mascara.

The cotton will come off in strands, attaching to the ends of your lashes and therefore elongating them. The baby powder gives a bit of strength to the cotton and also shows up white against your lashes so you don't miss any cotton strands with your mascara.

That leads us to the next and final step. Apply some mascara, taking extra care ensuring all of the cotton fibres are coated and you can no longer see the white baby powder.

And you're good to go! Now go flutter those lashes.

Photo Gallery: Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum

Last week, my two friends (Yasmin and Alexs) and I decided to take a trip to Kelvingrove Art Galleries so that Alexs could get some inspiration for a makeup artist project she has going on, and Yasmin and I both really like spending time at this art gallery! You can never get enough of it.

It's really one of the most beautiful buildings. So elegantly archaic and gothic. It's definitely a must if you are in the area.

We wandered by the hall of floating heads, walked below the grand organ with awe and past the ever present eyes of Gatsby's Dr. T.J. Ecklebert. Of course, the girls decided to have a shot in Sleeping Beauty's bed while we were there. I mean, that's not something you get to do everyday hahaa!

Anyways, I thought I'd post some pictures here that I managed to snap of this really fun day. I hope you had a lovely week and have a good one this week!
